Mike Handwork
Founder
June 30, 1970 — August 14, 2014
Mike began his career in pest management in 1994. After working for Radar Exterminating and another small firm, he was hired to serve as the Structural Pest Compliance & Enforcement Inspector in the Department of Agriculture for the State of Georgia. Leaving the state job in 2002, he founded HANCO Exterminating.
Mike served in the U.S. Army, and began hunting at an early age — a pastime he shared with his boys. He was an honest, upstanding family man who understood that the success of his company hinged on the integrity with which he treated his clients. He was well-liked and much-appreciated. His dry wit, sweet eyes, and the helping hand he always lent to friends will be remembered.
Mike and his wife, Jessica, were married for twenty years and had five sons. He left the world with a legacy of fathering his sons with the gentlest of spirits.
